There is always something very satisfying about the re homing and rehabilitation of any rescue dog, being a sentimental softy with animals, I can feel the pain and joy of them that so many people miss, as they try to justify to themselves that they are “only dogs” and therefore can’t possibly have emotions and feelings like we do
Despite the fact they are all really wolves in collars I truly believe that all these animals have the ability to think and feel just as we do, and to a larger extent, are actually superior to us, in that they give freely of themselves and their love, despite so many innocent animals being let down and hurt by their humans...they don’t talk idly about unconditional love like we do, they practice it and if there is such a thing as the divine spirit and if this is all a game of life and a test of some kind , then I feel that we have much to learn from our non human companions on this earth and I for one pray that one day we will all wake up and smell the coffee and perhaps realise that we should humble ourselves in the presence of our loyal companions and lose some of the uncalled for arrogance in our attitudes towards them.
That said, I have been lucky enough to position myself in life to be able to help both humans and animals to maybe understand one another a little better and as such Sheps Dog Training Centre was born out of a life time of commitment and love of animals, something I call my vocation and passion and something I never want to retire from, hoping instead to die with my boots on at the end of another satisfactory course or when I get that satisfying phone call that money can’t buy..the one that says its because of you that we still have our dog...thank you.
It is then that I feel humbled and glad to be living my childhood dream...to all of you and your wonderful dogs a very Happy New Year and a sincere thank you for choosing Sheps Dog training Centre, the pleasure is all mine
With every good wish
